Sketching + Planning for Ancillary Task Newspaper Double Page Spread

I like the idea of having the title in the top left hand corner, I know that as a consumer myself this is where I first look on a page as I turn it. Therefore as the reader see's the title or headline they may want to read the article and be enticed, resulting in them becoming interested in the documentary and wanting to watch it and discover their own opinion.

This is my final draft/sketch of the type of layout I would like to achieve when making my final double page spread. As you can see to some extent it challenges the idea of a traditional newspaper page. This is due to the fact that the picture is the entire background of the page. Usually the background is white and pictures are placed in between the text. However, I feel that it would have more of an impact on the look and presentation of the layout to have the photograph as the background. I have also kept the title in the top left hand corner as I feel this is where it will make the most impact. As well as this I have kept the idea of having pictures inserted on the page, changing the dynamic of the page.
