Ancillary Task - Newspaper image + editing

Here are a few screen shots of the editing process I have used to create the image and editing for my newspaper ancillary task. I decided to refer back to the split text image that I created earlier on and apply it to a photograph of the modern building of the school. However, I also used a simple gradient technique to create somewhere for me to write on the page. Not only this I felt that the torn effect may be better for the newspaper advert as it has more impact. Along with writing and other photographs, text and colours I felt that the cracked picture look was too much for the double page newspaper spread.

I also asked a few peers what they thought of what I had created and which one they felt would be most suitable for the double page spread.
Following this I decided I needed to do another photoshoot of the school - creating different images of what would represent post 16 education.
